CityWide Bail Bonds is a family-owned California bail bond agency. We have been getting people out of California jails since 2003, from one office in downtown Modesto, with licensed agents covering all 58 counties. Someone answers the phone at three in the morning on a holiday, because that is usually when the call comes.
A Family Business That Answers the Phone
Nobody plans to call a bail bondsman. The call usually comes at a bad hour, from someone who has never done this before and is trying to hold it together. That is the situation CityWide was built around.
We started in 2003 and we are still family owned. That matters in practice, not just on paper. The person who picks up is a licensed agent who can actually make a decision, not a call center reading a script and promising a callback. We explain the premium before you commit to anything, we tell you honestly how long a release is likely to take at that specific jail, and we do not pretend to control things we do not control.
Our office is in downtown Modesto, about half a mile from the Stanislaus County Superior Court. Stanislaus is home for us. But a California bail license works statewide, so our agents post bail from Del Norte to San Diego, and most of our work never requires anyone to visit an office at all.

You do not have to take our word for it. The Department of Insurance runs a public license lookup. Check the number against any agency you are considering, including this one. If a company will not give you a license number, that is the answer.

One Office, All 58 Counties
Some agencies advertise a long list of city offices. A long list of addresses does not always mean staffed locations, so we would rather tell you exactly how ours works.
CityWide runs one physical office, at 614 16th St. in Modesto. Everywhere else in California is covered by licensed agents who work those counties and know those jails. A California bail agent license is valid across the whole state, which means an agent can post a bond at any California facility regardless of where the agency office sits.
In practice, almost none of it depends on geography. We verify custody by phone, send paperwork for e-signature, and coordinate the posting with the facility. Families in Los Angeles, Redding, and San Diego go through the same process as families in Modesto, and none of them need to drive anywhere.

I had to call here late at night during my graveyard shift and I was so relieved to find that someone was available to help. They were kind, professional, and ready to work with me and they took extra consideration knowing I was also at work and were very kind and patient with me. I cannot say enough good things about Shannon and her family at citywide Bailbond. Unfortunately this is the second time I've had to use her but she definitely makes what is a stressful situation as easy as it can possibly be! City Wide Bail bonds is an awesome bail bonds company. This company will work with you. Example when I first signed up with them I set up 2 payments a month. I then called to ask for 1 payment a month the company agreed. As long as you contact them in advance they will work with you.
